Campbell Architecture is remaking an expansive arts and crafts style house in Sydneys east. Sitting on the eastern slopes of Bellevue Hill, the house has suffered from previous subdivision and currently turns its back on its street frontage, and takes little advantage of its location or aspect. We will create a new elegant and functional residence by re-planning and re-making the interiors, re-presenting a new ‘frontage’ and entry for the house. We will work with the existing structure, utilising the strong bones and gracious proportions diminished by ad-hoc renovations and the passage of time.
Previous clients have returned for more and Campbell Architecture is teaming with Australias pre-eminent Interior Designers Thomas Hamel & Associates to rejuvenate a grand Sydney estate originally designed by ‘the Prof’ – the legend of Australian architecture – Professor Leslie Wilkinson.
House H has reached its upper verandah level. Campbell Architecture has perched a new living verandah carefully in the elbow of the treetops to release a spectacular view of the Lane Cove River from the new outdoor living area – where none existed before. Building as verandah – a life of comfort – one of our predominant explorations.
