House C4 – a perch in the Spotted Gum Forest

  Campbell Architecture has been commissioned to undertake another transformation of a much loved family beach house and set it up for contemporary living and the for the generations to come to enjoy. Perched high above Palm Beach in the Pittwater Spotted Gum Forest, we will seek to respect the magical natural & scenic location while unlocking the potential of the site and building a house fit for a modern family holidaying – capacious, flexible, relaxed, durable – within our oeuvre of simple, calm, unostentatious architecture that will last the test of time.

House P – reworking not razing

Campbell Architecture sees value in working with existing structures, reworking them to release something new and wonderful, while also keeping form and patina that so often has great resonance with people. We do not believe in new simply for the sake of being new. It can be sensible from an environmental and approvability perspective, or as in this case from an emotional perspective, where the family had fond memories of the fire as the centre of the family living space over generations.
