HOUSE A1 – PALMY NEARING COMPLETION

  Campbell Architectures House A1 at Palm Beach is nearing completion.  Picking up cues from traditional Palm Beach weatherboard houses while avoiding cloying sentimentality, the building is simple, bold and oh so livable. A ‘drunk stone’ chimney echoing an old homestead anchors the timber house to the site.   A ‘sleepout’ building across the yard houses kids rumpus and bedroom areas – again an idea echoing a perhaps simpler time.
